Okay, here's a shocker. In AO Scott's review of 'Revenge of the Sith' in Monday's New York Times, he claims that George Lucas had some uncredited help with the script from Tom Stoppard.
Can this be true? Is Britain's greatest living playwright responsible for such Yoda gems as "Obi-Wan, watch the surveillance tapes, you should not" and "Good relations with the Wookies, I have"?
A friend of Stoppard's once told me that he has a fax machine in his bathroom so he can scribble down dialogue for the Hollywood films he's working on and fax the pages over to the production office without having to leave his bath. I now believe it.
